First Graduate works with program partners to organize annual events to raise college awareness among students in San Francisco.
Early College Awareness Program (ECAP)
Sponsored by the Harvard Club of San Francisco and hosted in partnership with First Graduate, ECAP is a special event designed to give San Francisco middle school students and their families an early education in college readiness. Students participate in interactive workshops that focus on high school choice, college facts and options, and financial aid. Their parents also engage in workshops on the same topics, with translations in Spanish and Cantonese.
In 2009, ECAP organizers included First Graduate, Aim High, Boys & Girls Club, College Track, Gear Up, San Francisco Unified School District, SF Promise, San Francisco State University.

Current college student share their experiences and answer questions about what it's like to attend different types of colleges. Youth also have an opportunity to network and make long-lasting connections.
