Events: Winter Celebration
First Graduate held its annual Winter Celebration on December 4th, an event that was attended by Board members, staff and students. The event was organized by the Parent Committee, and included a buffet-style dinner, as well as an awards ceremony.
First Graduate acknowledged the hard work and dedication of 34 students with the Founders Awards for Academic Effort, Academic Achievement and Committment to the Program.
Also honored were individual volunteer mentors, whose attention and committment to their students was highlighted. The mentors who received the Mentor of the Year Award were: Laura Barbosa whose mentee is a senior in high school, Nancy Caplan whose mentee is a junior in high school, Yiwey Shieh whose mentee is a sophomore, and Michael Bell and Donna Davidson whose mentees are high school freshmen.
Everyone had a wonderful time as they celebrated the holiday season.
