Services: Mentoring

The right kind of help

One of the keys to a young person's success is the support that comes from positive relationships with adults.

All First Graduate participants are paired with a mentor, a responsible adult with an established career, from eighth grade through their high school graduation. Mentors help students develop self-confidence and discipline, make sound decisions, set high standards for success and create thoughtful plans for their future.

What's the commitment?

First Graduate will provide ongoing training and support for you and your student. We ask that you give 6 - 10 hours a month of your time, for two to five years, to build and nurture your student. There is no financial obligation.

At annual Mentor Match Days, 8th grade students are paired with screened and trained adults who make the commitment to help First Graduate students develop self-confidence and discipline.
